At Camelback Spine Care, physical therapy plays a critical role in the recovery process following spine surgery. Whether you have undergone a discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, or a minimally invasive outpatient procedure, structured postoperative rehabilitation is essential to restoring strength, mobility, and functional stability.
Physical therapy often begins shortly after surgery and is carefully tailored to each patient’s specific procedure and recovery goals. Our licensed therapists focus on progressive muscle activation, core stabilization, flexibility, and movement retraining to support healing while minimizing strain on the surgical site.
What sets Camelback Spine Care apart is our integrated model of care. Rehabilitation is delivered in close coordination with our board-certified orthopedic spine surgeons, ensuring that every therapy program aligns with your surgical plan and long-term spine health objectives. This collaborative approach promotes a safer, more efficient return to daily activities and optimal recovery outcomes.
I earned my Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Widener University in 1998, graduating with clinical honors, and began my career in outpatient orthopedics with a strong focus on spine rehabilitation. Early on, I developed a passion for treating neck and back conditions and completed extensive coursework in the McKenzie Method, becoming McKenzie Certified, as well as earning my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. My experience in both orthopedic and geriatric settings has given me a well-rounded perspective in treating patients with acute injuries, postoperative needs, and chronic spine conditions.
At Camelback Spine Care, I am dedicated to delivering individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation programs that help patients restore strength, improve mobility, and return to their prior level of function safely and confidently. I take great pride in partnering with our board-certified orthopedic spine surgeons to ensure that each patient’s therapy plan is aligned with their diagnosis, surgical procedure if applicable, and long-term spine health goals.
Outside of the clinic, I stay active through hiking, dancing, and lifting weights, and I cherish spending time with my two daughters, my family, and our mini goldendoodle. Maintaining an active lifestyle personally reinforces my commitment to helping patients move better and live fully.
